Jefferson County Public Schools Superintendent to be featured speaker at Chamber Jeffersontown November Luncheon

The Chamber Jeffersontown is delighted to welcome Donna M. Hargens, Superintendent of Jefferson County Public Schools to speak and present at the Thanksgiving - Have a Heart Luncheon on Wednesday, November 16, 2011.

As Superintendent of JCPS, Dr. Hargens’ focus is on raising student achievement for all children. Her leadership style is grounded in collaboration giving extensive time to listening to staff, parents, and community before making recommendation that will impact the operation of the district.

The Chamber’s annual Have-A-Heart project benefits families in need during holiday season.  Chamber Members, Business Owners, and government officials are encouraged to attend the luncheon and bring cash/check donations for Jeffersontown Area Ministries (JAM).  Last year, with the help of generous member donations, the Chamber raised over $1000 and was able to sponsor 5 families.  The Thanksgiving Luncheon is sponsored by Forcht Bank.
